My grandfather Carmine Palmieri migrated from Italy at age 15 in 1897. He was born in 1883 in Gagliano Aterno in the province of Acquila in the Abruzzi. He lived in Hamilton, Ontario Canada for a while. He went back to Italy several times. Then He moved to the Detroit area where he died in 1969. He married cmy grandmother, Paolina Pacifici in Italy around 1905 or 1906. I don't know if he had any brothers or sisters. I do know that there are many related Palmieri's from this area of Abruzzi-however I am not in contact with any of them.There are supposedly Palmieri relatives from this abruzzi clan in Hamilton, Ontario, Florida, and even south america. But as many of you know when these people migrated contact with family was difficult and often lost.
