We may be dealing w/the same family of Palmers. My great grandfather was James Monroe Palmer of GA (DeKalb Co?)(d. Rankin Co., MS 1898).His only daughter was named Cora Ida (b. 1874, m. Joseph Ellis Donnell in 1895; d. 1955).She named one of her daughters Beulah (still living in Madison, MS at St. Catherine's retirement center.) Also, the name Bertha is associated w/ her family. James Monroe was a doctor in the Civil War.My grandmother had cousins in Texas. Her brother Eugene Palmer went to Texas for a while (in the 1910s or 1920s?)and practiced law in MS, LA, TX before his death ca. 1930. The other brother was Grover Cleveland Palmer. If you think that this might be of any help to you, I'll try to talk to Aunt Beulah.
