Members of this Wisconsin Palm family first emigrated in the mid 1800's from Sweden.

Generations:

Kimberly, Wis. Interred at Kimberly, Wis. with wife Lucille. No children
1. William Ambly Palm, birth: 3/3/1919, Washburn, Wis.; death: 3/28/1981, Appleton, Wis. Interred at Washburn, Wis.
Wife: Bernice Loretta Caskinette. Machinist. Four children.
1. Donald Clive Palm, birth: 12/30/1926, Washburn, Wis.; death: 9/17/1988, Little Chute, Wis. Ashes scattered in northeastern Wisconsin. No children.

2. Carl Eugene Palm, birth: 12/16/1893, Washburn, Wis.; death: 10/02/1972, Washburn, Wis. Interred at Washburn, Wis. Wife: Rose Harriet Ambly Palm. Three children.

3. Nels August Palm, birth: 6/14/1853, Sweden; death: 1911. Interred at Washburn, Wis. Worked as a Stonemason. Wife: Johanna Svensson. Six or seven children (Emil, Oscar, Gustave, Alma Cecelia, Hjalmar, Carl, Victor, Nils).

4. Peter Palm, birth: 6/06/1813, Sweden; death: 3/26/1868, interred in Sweden. Game Keeper on Royal grounds, is what I have heard. About five children, (Nels August, Lars, Mathilda, Johanna Palm Hanson, Christina Palm Karseberg).

5. Fredrik Palm, birth: 4/05/1785, Sweden; death: 1837, Sweden. Wife: Bengta Jepsdotter, Birth: 1/26/1790; death 1865, Sweden. Ten children (Lars, Peter, Nils, Sven, Johannes, Anders, Carl, Gustaf, Kerstin, Thyra). About five of these children emigrated to the U.S.; to Missouri, California, Massachusets, and Wisconsin.

My name is Rosemary Palm. My father, William Ambly Palm, and his wife moved to Menasha, Wisconsin from Washburn/Ashland, Wis. to work in the paper mills following WWII. They had four children: Susan, Rosemary, William, and Robert, all living.

I would welcome hearing anything about relatives and ancestors. While I don't know of any relatives living in Minnesota, I once walked into a bakery owned by Palms in the Twin Cities area and was surprised by how much the owner looked like my grandfather Carl. This fellow denied there was any connection and was apparently too busy to discuss further. I believe my family came to Washburn directly from Sweden, but there may have been siblings to Nels August who also came over. Nels August came over as a child in the 1850's-'60's. There is a Christina Palm in the Washburn cemetary that I can't place; she died on 5/20/1902.
