G'day P. Duff
Can't help you with Palin, Grierson Higgins graves in the Laracor Parish Cemetry, Co, Westmeath Ireland, but...
We have Fox relatives buried in the Laracor Cemetry. James Fox 1773-1848 is my wifes relative. James was known as THE FOX and as such he was the Head of one of the approx 20 "Royalty" clans in Ireland. The current head "The Fox" now lives in Australia. A letter we have from a visitor to the graves in 1992, states that they are in appalling condition. I understand there is a list of all the graves in the Meath Archaelogical and Historical Society. In this letter the visitor confirms that the Fox graves are indeed next to the Grierson graves, and she says Elizabeth Grierson was wife of Matthew Fox b 1745 - which you know and have details of the children. This same visitor copied the inscriptions of the Fox graves of interest to her (she is a Fox too). We will be visiting Laracor in a few weeks time - March 2006. I'd be interested in comparing any further details with you.
John
