Finally have located the family of my GreatGrandmother Carrie Palermo ! They were in the 1880 Chicago cesus but their name was mispelled and I couldn't pick them up. Finally found them through searching all the Liborio's with a new search engine and lo and behold there they all were.!
Whhheeewww...a 10 year search! Here's what I found out in case it fits with any of you out there:
Liborio Palermo 1833 Palermo Italy
Maria Carmela Giglio 1838
Minnie (Liboria) 1860
Mike (Arcangela)1859
Carrie (Calogero)1863
Bessie (Biagio)1867
Frank (Francesco)1871
John (Giovanni)1873
Came on the ship Sidonian Dec 31 1873 from Palermo. the name was listed as " di Palermo" but the family only used Palermo in this country.
If you suspect any connection write back and let's see..
