My husband's father was Louise's brother. He was also a Palermo, although they were not related to Serrie's side of the family. My father-in-law passed away in 1994 and Louise passed away a couple of years ago (after Serrie had died). They had two children (both of whom are deceased). Their son was a professor at Kent State and their daughter Shirley died in Erie/North East about 5 or six years ago. My husband has one aunt left on that side of the family. She is a widow living in North East.

My husband and I live in Georgia (outside of Atlanta) and have one child, an 8 year old boy, who is the joy of our lives.

Daniel's grandfather and grandmother immigrated somewhere in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Daniel's father was born in 1905 in the US so we know they had gotten here by then. The birthplace of eldest son, Frank, is uncertain as to whether he was born in the US or in Sicily. His other grandparents also immigrated around the same time.

If you are ever in North East, most of the family is buried in the St. Gregory cemetary. You can find a great deal of information there. It's sad, though, as we lose these members of the family, we lose the history.

Send us a personal e-mail and we'll be able to exchange what information that we can.
