Hi John,

I also found the photo and some information from the French Archives about Dusan's military career. Interesting story about the mandolin. My maternal grandfather (not the Palcic side) played banjo and harmonica and occasionally played with a bluegrass band in his 70s. I have been playing the autoharp for about 10 years. I don't know if you like bluegrass, but if you have any interest, check out "The New Essex Bluegrass Band" on youtube. They are a British band that covers old bluegrass standards in a very traditional style. I heard them at the Grevengrass Festival here in Germany.

I appreciate your posts. Hope to hear more about the family on your side of the channel when you get more information.

Cordially,

Chris

P.S. We can also correspond off the board if you want to chat more about music :-)
