Afghan-Pakistani DNA Project & Y-DNA Testing

Dear all,

a Y-DNA Project group has been created on Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) for people of Afghan and Pakistani heritage to trace their recent, as well as deep ancestry.

If you are interested in your genealogical trail, the Y-DNA testing is a powerful genealogical tool. It checks for genetic information found on your Y-Chromosome, which is only passed from father to son - quite like a family or tribal name. And frankly, Afghan and Pakistani DNA representation is long overdue.

The benefits of Y-DNA testing include:
1) locating genetic matches (and hence long lost families)
2) being able to verify an ancestral claim
3) finding out one's deep ancestry (that go back thousands of years)

I am very excited about this Project and hope that it will benefit people of Afghan and Pakistani heritage looking into their ancestral trail. Please support this Project Group. It is a non-profitable group. I am a volunteer Project Admin, and i receive no monetary incentive for running this Project Group.

For more information, please visit www.dna-afghan-pak.blogspot.com and drop me an email.
