I don't think there's much doubt that Patrick was the son of Michael and Ann, since his family and Ann Pakenham Murtagh were so close. I'm still working on finding Michael's trail, though. He's usually listed online incorrectly as General Edward Michael Pakenham of the Battle of New Orleans, but this Michael was a full generation younger than the general.
