Majors, Major, Johnson, Stuart - Guilford Co., NC

In the Last Will and Testament of Thomas MAJOR, my ancestor, "of Alamance congregation Guilford County, state of North Carolina," he names his "grandaughter Eleanor Johnson," and grandson, "Thomas Paisley" to receive sums of money. He appointed sons-by-law (son-in-laws) as George STUART and Robert PAISLEY.

Does anyone researching the PAISLEY lines know where Eleanor Johnson comes in, or who her parents were? Assume her mother was a daughter of Thomas Major.

Also, for George Stuart; assume he married another daughter of Thomas Major.

I have tried to follow these two lines but can find no info on Eleanor Johnson, and only a few land records on George Stuart. Another researcher told me George Stuart was a nephew of Finley Stuart of Guilford Co., in the late 1700's.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.
