While searching for my MAJORS ancestors, who are related to the McLEAN and PAISLEY families, I found this information:
Abstract of the Revolutionary War pension file of John Peasley. He states that he was born in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, and that his parents died there; that at the age of 7, he moved with his uncle William Peasley to Orange County, North Carolina, and also lived in Guilford County, North Carolina, when he enlisted. He died at age 75 on November 7, 1836, leaving a widow, Milly. His birth date can then be estimated at about 1761, and his arrival in North Carolina "at the age of 7" being about 1768. Source: Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files, Volume III: N-Z, abstracted by Virgil D. White; The National Historical Publishing Company; Waynesboro, Tennessee. 1992)

Since his wife's name was Milly, I am seeking another Milly who married into my MAJORS line and wonder if this 2nd Milly could be a daughter of John and Milly Peasley (Paisley). Any help is much appreciated and I'll share whatever info I have. Thanks.
