Paisley Family Genealogy Forum
My only documented sources are marriage records from the online "Illinois Statewide Marriage Index" and online census records. The rest is undocumented information from WorldConnect and the LDS Ancestral File. I should tell you that I'm not descended from PAISLEY, so PAISLEY is not my main interest here. I'm just trying to fill out Mary Ann PAISLEY's husbands' family group sheets with her missing parents, which is why I don't have a lot of information on PAISLEY.
As Mary Ann PAISLEY was married first to William HANCOCK in 1847, we miss the chance to find her with her parents in the 1850 census. In the 1850 census of Pope Co., IL (p. 260B), William F. & Mary (PAISLEY) HANCOCK have no children, but living with them are George PAISLEY (22, IL) and Christian L. PAISLEY (9, IL), who may be Mary Ann's brothers. In the 1860 census, Christian is still living with William & Mary in Pope Co., IL (p. 165).
