Trina, I don't have any photos of these early ancestors, nor do I know anyone that does. I haven't found any record of military service for John, Richard or Wyatt. My aunt has been researching this family for years and she has not come up with any evidence of military service.

You probably know that Wyatt's second wife was Betsy Coleman Clayton and that Richard's wife Agnes was the daughter of Nathaniel and Agnes Duncan. I am not certain about John's wife, Mary. I have not found anything to prove who her parents were.

My information about John begins with him in Sussex Co, VA in 1735 as a godparent and possibly in 1729 since a John Paynter was a witness to a deed for land in Sussex County.

I have found no evidence of where John was born or of any siblings or parents. This is what I am seeking.
