I am looking for additional information the the Painters. The only information I have so far on James Wesley Painter b. 4/14/1856 in Spencer County, IN. James married a Sarah Melissa LAMAR 1/28/1879 in Spencer County, IN. James died 11/11/1939 in Spencer County, IN. James and Sarah had eight children.
-- Virgil PAINTER b sept 1879 married Belle N. CAREY 8/3/1903 in Spencer County, IN. Virgil and Belle had three children.
(1) Ray PAINTER (2) Roy PAINTER (3) Rena Mae PAINTER
-- Gertrude PAINTER b. 1881. Gertrude married Fredrick RUMPLE on 1/20/1905 in Spencer County, IN
-- Nellie PAINTER b ABT. 1883, she married William HARTER on 2/5/1905 in Spencer County, IN. Nellie and William had one child (1) Harry HARTER
-- William E. PAINTER b. 1/7/1884 d. 1/11/1909 in Spencer Co.
-- Alma PAINTER b. 5/13/1886 died ABT July 1960 in Cynthiana, Posey County, IN
-- Flossie Bell PAINTER b. 8/13/1893 d. June 1979. Flossie married William F. GRIEPENSTROH in 1912. Flossie and William had seven children.
-- Anna Mae PAINTER b. 1896 d, ABT 1896. Anna married Charles Montgomery.
-- Talva PAINTER b. 1901 d. 1974
Flossie Bell PAINTER was my grandmother. I was told there are alot of PAINTERS buried in the New Hope Cemetery, Spencer County, Indiana. Flossie and her husband are buried in St. John's Cemetery, Clay City, Indiana. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated, I have come to a dead end. Tina
