Linda,
The only info I have on Jonathan Paine is from the 1850 Belmont Co. US census, which lists the following:
Jonathan Payne 64 male, Farmer, $2,000 real estate, Born VA. Kesiah 23 female, Born Ohio.
Reuben 16 male, farmer, born Ohio. Jonathan Jr. 15 male, born Ohio. Lewis 2 male, born Ohio.
From a posting on the Belmont Co. Rootsweb page in Jan 1997, there was the following posting:
ALLEN, BONHAM, PAINE, SEARS posted by Tom Bishop on Friday, January 31, 1997
#1 Jno. PAINE, b. in Loudoun co., VA 1783, d. in Flushing twp. Belmont co., 1869. He married Martha BONHAM. Two daughters, Catharine ALLEN, and Sarah ALLEN -- what was their husband's names? Also, daughter Keziah m. Jackson SEARS, what became of him and the kids? Aaron BONHAM is buried in the PAINE cemetery in Flushing was he Martha's brother? I'd be interested in any charts, etc. that has a PAINE or BONHAM. #2 Aaron BONHAM, d. 1836, was buried in the private PAINE cemetery in Flushing twp., Belmont co., OH. Who were his siblings, and what were the names of his children? If you have a BONHAM on your pedigree chart, please send me a copy. Martha BONHAM m. Jonathna PAINE in Loudoun co., VA. Both were buried in the PAINE cemetery. She may be Aaron's sister.
That's all I have.
Ron
