Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

His parents were Joseph Pain and Frances Cocke. He had a sister Elizabeth b. Aug 29, 1738 in Thetford, Norfolk, England. Thetford is about ten miles away from Great Ellingham, which is the home town of the Stephen of Rehoboth branch of Paines. Given the proximity, he is probably connected to this branch but in a collateral fashion.
