I'd like to know more about this General Edward Paine. Was he a general in the Rev. War? What state was he from? What were his wives' last names? I had a 4th gr-grfather whose name was Edward Paine, and he was rumored to have a wife named Rebecca. Some of his children were born in PA. He died in Natchez, MS, in 1821. HIs daughter was Charlotte Paine Williams Coxe who was born in MS about 1808. Some of her siblings were John C. Paine; Ferdinand C; Thomas; George; and probably Emily.
