Looking for information on the following father/daughter pair:
William Paine. B. abt. 1802 in Tennessee. 1870 Johnson Co. Arkansas shows him, age 58, living with Isaac and Mary E. Owens, b. TN. 1840 Johnson Co. AR census shows him age 30-40, wife 20-30, one son under 5, two daughters under 5.
Mary Elizabeth Paine/Payne. B. abt. 1835-1840 in Johnson Co. AR. Johnson Co. AR probate records (Oct. 1868) has this reference: Mary E. Hays Owens mother and guar. of John W. Hays. Mary now married to Isaac Owens Dec. 24 1867. She was Mary E. Paine dau. of William Paine, or Payne." 1880 Johnson Co. AR census lists Isaac D. Owens, 42, b. TN, with wife Mary E., 40, b. AR, and children. 1870 census lists him with Mary E. (31, AR) and children.
Isaac and Mary were my gr-gr-grandparents. Thanks!
