There is a PAINE document on ebay (e-bay), it ends this week (Feb-02-07 12:54:54 PST).Item number: 330079665554
It is dated June, 1777 and is in reference to "JOB PAINE as Principal posted 100 Pounds and RALPH PAINE and ABRAHAM SIMMONS both of Freetown" - who were apparently Torys or at least Tory sympathizers.

This 100% Authentic Early American Document is on Laid Paper and has a Full Papermakers Watermark and is in Absolutely Super Condition. This is a True Copy in 1777 a Memorandum for The Recognizance of Job Paine 2nd of Freetown Husbandman acknowledgeing themselves to be severally Indebted to The Government and People of The Massachusetts Bay in New England of which Job Paine as Principal posted 100 Pounds and Ralph Paine and Abraham Simmons both of Freetown Yeoman 50 Pounds each to be levied upon their Goods or Chattles,Lands or Tenements and in want thereof Their Bodies to The use of The sd Government and People if default be made in The Performance of The Condition hereunder written. The Condition of The above written Recognizance is such if the sd Job Paine SHALL NOT DEPART THIS STATE TO JOIN OUR ENEMIES AND SHALL APPEAR PERSONALLY AT THE NEXT COURT OF THE GENERAL SESSIONS OF THE PEACE TO BE HOLDEN AT TAUNTON TO ANSWER TO SUCH MATTERS AND THINGS AS SHALL BE OBJECTED AGAINST HIM AND BE OF GOOD BEHAVIOR IN THE MEANTIME AND SHALL DO & RECEIVE THAT WHICH SD COURT THEN & THERE BE ENJOYNED HIM & NOT DEPART WITHOUT LICENSE THEN THE ABOVE WRITTEN RECOGNIZANCE TO BE VOID & OF NONE EFFECT OTHERWISE TO ABIDE IN FULL FORCE."
