Sheila,

For more information on the Alamo Defenders and their genealogies, it's best to contact the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the "keepers" of the Alamo legacy, through their website at

http://www.drtl.org/drtl/public_html/tconts.html

This is a lineage organization for women descended from the men who died at the Alamo. I believe they will look up information in their files for a research and copy fee. As I said, I've intended to do this for sometime but haven't gotten to it and I don't think this is my line.

They have a genealogy collection and I noticed one book by a Bill Groneman that is said to include bios on the various men and their families. I don't know if they know anything about George Pagan.

The curator at the Alamo possibly doesn't know much about the genealogy aspects of the Alamo, but it would have courteous to have replied to you nonetheless.
