The majority of PAGAN in Spain come from de Murcia province in the South East of the country. Possibly there are hundreds of people with this surname there.
They have contributed to the history and even to the geography and today there are the followings towns in the Murcia province which bear this name:
- Lo Pagán
- Los Paganes
- Cueva Pagán
The origins of the surname in Spain come back to the reconquest of the cuntry to the moors. At that time (XIII century)or latter, people with this name came to the region trhough the Cartagena port.
