It's heartening to know that there's a good writerly streak in the Pafford name.
John Henry Pyle Pafford was a distinguished librarian and academic author here in the UK, and like Caroline, I've also been involved in two books - co-authoring BowieStyle for Omnibus Press, and also contributing to the multi-authored The Mojo Collection, a collection of music reviews.
In between my day-to-day journalism for various media, I'm currently working on a third book all my myself this time. Hope to have it published in 2010.
I'd love to find a link between all three of our writers' Pafford lines - indeed I'd be very pleased to hear from anyone who's been researching the family name. So far I've only got back to 1871 and I'd be most interested to trace the earlier ancestors who seem to have emigrated to North America around century before.
