I have used Ultimate Family Tree and Master Genealogist. For some reason I find myself going back to Personal Ancestral File. PAF is an easy program to use and it seems to suit my needs. Perhaps that's because many of my ancestral lines have already been researched.
There is an outstanding point to The Master Genealogist. For almost every piece of data you can add a note or source. Also this program is also almost completely customizable. If there is something in the program you can change it is there. Like the beta testers said, "About the only thing you can't change is the name of the program!"
