Alfred, Thanks for the help with the above subject. Now, here's another problem. My computer is reading FTM as the default genealogy program, so any of my PAF files are automatically saved as FTM (that's the reason the icon with the Red letter A came up). (another frustration with FTM, it always just does it's own thing.) I know the icon with the Tree indicates a GEDCOM file, but none of my files come out saved that way, even the ones saved on disks. My PAF files have the icon with the little girl on them. I can open these. Am I just getting confused with all of the extensions of files names? Again, HELP!
