Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I started with PAF several years ago with me as RIN #1. Last Fall I bought FTM 7.0, and now have both systems. The PAF data transferred beautifully into FTM, without RIN numbers. PAF is very statistical, FTM seems to be more open. I am now doing all my work in FTM, than exporting new data into PAF. Now that I have used FTM, I prefer it for data entry.
