What worked for me when I tried it was to go to custom reports.

For Select Filter/Focus window, in the Relationship Filter drop down box choose All, then click the Select button.

Then go to Filter Field and click the Define button.

In the new window that opens pick Death Date from the Possible Fields and click on the > button to move it to the right.

Once it's on the right, click on it to highlight it, then click the button that says Modify.

In the window that comes up, choose Contains from the options, then enter 1853 in the box Date: then click OK.

The Field Filtering window should now have Death Date Contains 1853 in the right box, click OK at the bottom.

The Filtered List portion of the Select Individuals window should now show you the number of people who died in 1853.

Don't forget that after you've chosen All from the drop down box on Relationship Filter, you also have to click the box named Select.

Click OK to get back to the Reports and Charts window, then go through the Report Payout set-up.

Dave
