I assume that you're talking about the pedigree view that can be displayed by clicking on the Pedigree tab. As best as I can tell from the help files, the number of generations displayed is fixed. At the great-great-grandparents level, the current upper limit, you're looking at sixteen people for that generation. Adding another generation would required a thirty-two person column, and another generation would require sixty-four. So the display rapidly gets out of hand.

There is a program available called One Page Genealogy that will display a larger number of generations. It appears to have been a college project at BYU. The authors no longer support the program and because it was also used to generate income for them by printing the large pedigree files for you, the output file with your pedigree can be displayed on your own computer, but cannot be printed. It appears that they thought they had released a printable version, but when I use it, the print function is still locked out.

If you'd like to take a look at it, go here:

The program can be downloaded here:

The program is clever in that if a given line peters out, then that space is given over to other lines. I can get back to my ninth-great-grandparents with it. It seems to work best with a gedcom in the ANSI character set.
