As before, I'm checking if there are any other genealogy software that will do what I want i.e. strip-out the prefix.

Legacy 7 (free version) will do it BUT it didn't import all my notes! This program lets you select tags/events to import; interestingly, it showed a tag of TITL for the PAF tag NPFX!? so was able to exclude TITL on import into Legacy which did strip out the prefix.

Always something lacking in almost every program!
