How to Copy a Template to Use in a Personal Ancestral File 5.2 Data File on a Different Computer Important: Make certain that you ask the permission of the computer's owner before you do this, especially if the computer is in a family history center. Open My Computer. Double-click the C: drive. Double-click the Program Files folder. Double-click the FamilySearch folder. Double-click the Paf5 folder. Look in the list of files for the template you want to copy. It will have the same name you gave it when you created it, followed by .itm or .mtm. (For example, if you created an individual template and named it "My Template", the file will be called "My Template.itm.") Copy the file to the PAF5 folder on the OTHER computer. (This can be done using a flash drive, floppy, CD/DVD, or email attachment.) The template will now appear on the new computer. Note: Templates can be used only with the same version of Personal Ancestral File in which they were created. Notify Administrator about this message?
