Pierre,

You may want to change to a different program if your file is that large. One possibility is the free version of Legacy6 at www.legacyfamilytree.com It can import a PAF database directly. I find it more difficult to use than PAF, but it is said to be able to handle larger databases.

It has taken me 45 years of research to reach almost 20,000 names, so I don't expect to reach the 1,000,000 mark for a long time.
