Clynt,

I searched on the internet and I was able to download and install Embla Family Treasures 5. http://shareware.pcmag.com/product.php%5Bid%5D82393%5BSiteID%5Dpcmag

I was able to use it to import a gedcom file and also to export a gedcom file.

The question is whether it can open YOUR files. Give it a try. If so, export your database to a gedcom file and import it into a new (empty) PAF file.

EFT5 does not use a .tre or a .fam extension for its own files. Oh ... I see it only Opens files with an .odb extension.

It can import files in EFT3 format (maybe this format uses .tre and .fam). No ... further digging indicates an ending of m.isd is expected for EFT3 files. Hmm .

It seems like a long shot, but see if EFT5 can open any of your files feom the earlier Embla product.

Good luck.

Bill
