Julie,

This is a very common situation. In PAF, leave the first five children linked to their biological parents, but link them also to the second set of parents as guardians or adopted. I think that would solve the problem.

PAF allows a child to have multiple sets of parents, just as often happens in real life.

Let us know if this solves the problem.
