Multimedia files

I am new to using PAF and decided I would like to include jpg images of death certificates and photos with my files. I want to be able to send the PAF files through the internet to other relatives without having to send all the multimedia files. I could do this easily if I could store the images on the web and linked to the images via web links to my private webpage, but the multimedia feature only allows me to link to files, not via web links because I tried it. Is this likely to always be this way?

It is unfortunate that only linking to file copies is allowed by the software when linking to files stored on one's own web page is so handy for file sharing of this type. (I suppose people linking to web pages could misuse that if it wasn't linking to their own page though.) I wanted to store my files on a protected webpage that uses a robots.txt file to prevent archiving of my images but which works well for storing images. Instead I'm supposed to physically mail people a disc of images if I want someone to be able to view multimedia files. Or else I guess they want me to create a folder including the PAF and all the images, then send the entire folder with all the (200 kb+ each) multimedia files together either through email or upload it on the web for someone. Is that probably going to always be the way they will handle multimedia? I guess I need also to explore creating a webpage from a PAF file, something I know nothing about how to do.
