Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I recommend that you keep PAF3. Get the free upgrade PAF 3.01M from FamilySearch.org. There are still some functions in PAF3 that are not in PAF4, Like Print to File (Ascii Text).

See the PAF FAQ too. Deleting the PAF3 folder could also delete your data in sub-folders. Create a new folder "PAFData" and Copy and Paste the PAF3 DATA folder items to it. Then in (PAF4, Preferences, Folder) give the path and filefolder name to the new location.

I recommend keeping your data files separated from the program folder, for this reason.
