Consider installing a "PDF Printer driver" such as CutePDF http://www.cutepdf.com

Then, to create pedigree charts that will appear the same on any computer and print the same on any printer:
1. Select the PDF "printer" as your default printer
2. Print the report (Remove the checkmark from "Print to File" if there is one).
3. Reset the default printer to your real printer.

Open the PDF file to verify that it is exactly what you want. Then email it. They will get exactly what you saw, even if they use a Mac or Linux computer.
