Converting Old PAF Files
Posted by: Dan Kinley (ID *****9621) Date: April 29, 2005 at 10:53:13

I recently received my dad's old computer. I could not get the computer working, but I know it ran DOS 3.X. On the computer is FamilySearch Personal Ancestral File 1.X. I am having the data recovered and would like to know if I can convert the files so that I can use them in the Window's XP world. I have downloaded PAF 5.2.18.0, however, do not know if they will convert. Based on the list that the recovery company gave me, I think that the data files are .FW2 or .FW3. Before I pay for the data recovery, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks
