With PAF 4, at least, you can make one GEDCOM do it all. Find person c, select his family, then find person d, select his Ancestors, find e and select her descendants, deselect the daughter who married her cousin that you already have, etc.
You can keep on adding people to the list untill you hit the bottom 'OK' button. And it is all done in one GEDCOM export.
It might be a good idea to keep track of the family heads on paper, so that you can be sure to merge them all.

PS -- you can't do that with FTM, unless 7 got a lot better at it.
