Hi Ann,

Thank you very much for your suggestion . I have a habit of backing up my files on two floppies and usually overwrite when backing up.
The older backup was from last year and the same trouble is on this older version of my family data. So, your good suggestion did not produce the desired results.

Any idea on how I could get rid of my 792 deleted individuals and 282 deleted marriages? Which show up under File, Property and no where else.
Perhaps that produces the strange behavior of the file.

I have to admit that I am stumped on this one. Otherwise the data look normal and one can navigate through then quite readily.
