Two PAF 4.0 data bases--how to have on both computers?

Can anyone tell me what to do with my two separate family data bases? One with my Mom's lines is on my desk top, the other with my Dad's lines is on my lap top. I would like to have both of them on both computers. Also, how do I split these large data bases down? Right now my lap top has all my data on both of my paternal greatgreatgrandparents, starting with my farthest back ancestors and coming down to the present. I'd like to separate "hers" from "his." Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm too far away from a PAF group meeting and the most knowledgeable volunteer at my local LDS Family History Center uses Family Tree Maker!
