I knew that GEDCOMing the file out then creating a new one would work. However the current RINs are important to me. I have several books on various family lines that I tie into. I have written the corresponding RIN directly into the book for future ref. I wouldn't want to see these RINs change. I can remember in the past that after deleting some RINs the next added names reused the deleted RIN numbers (earlier version of PAF). Don't know why this is not working.
