Yes, that download is quite ok, Lois. What you are getting is the "setup" files for the PAF 4 program, so it doesn't have the "family" icon. That comes when the program is setup and will appear on your "PAF.exe" file and also on your "*.paf" files (your data files - substitute family name there for *).
When you reinstall, just make sure you close down all running programs, except EXPLORER (your Windows program) and SYSTRAY. Do this by pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE, highlighting each listed program, in turn (except above two) and click END TASK. Repeat this until only the above two are left showing. Then click START|SETTINGS|CONTROL PANEL|ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS|INSTALL and then browse to where you have saved the PAF download (the little "red box" icon).Click OPEN then on the next window, click FINISH. The installation will then commence.
