PAF 4.0 - Restore function
Posted by: Jeanne O'Shea Date: September 24, 1999 at 17:32:58

I downloaded PAF4 to my desktop and imported data from PAF3.01M, added data then created backup disks of 4.0 I then downloaded PAF4 to my laptop and tried to restore with the 4.0 backup disks. Got message "Restore failed. Can't write to PAF file (disk full?)". I made a backup of my desktop PAF 3.01M, restored it to my laptop 3.01M, started PAF4.0, selected "search for PAF files" which found my 3.01 files and these files are now in PAF4. Question: Will this laptop 4.0 file be exactly the same as my current desktop 4.0 file as far as entered sources and notes are concerned? I'm a little confused about the interaction between 3.01M and 4.0. I will use "backup and restore" between desktop and laptop quite often and don't want to lose data. Now that I have an initial file in PAF4 on the laptop, should I now use my 4.0 restore disks from my desktop to make sure the files are the same? Jeanne
