Today a horrible thing happened. I was adding tidbits of info into notes on two sisters. One was Child 1 and the other was Child 3. Child 3 -- Open Notes...click "Marriage"...typed text of wedding announcement...click Save, and out I went. Later, opening up Notes for Child 1.....what do I see to my chagrin? The wedding announcement for Child 3 is in the Marriage Notes for Child 1. At first I thought I made a mistake. So, I cut (ctrl-x) the note from Child 1...saved (ctrl-S) what was left, went to notes for Child 3, and pasted (ctrl-v) the text in where it belonged. Saved. Closed. I always like to TEST things afterwards, so I checked both sets of notes. I now found HALF the text of the note for Child 3 where it's supposed to be...it started in MID-WORD...and the WHOLE thing is back in Child 1's marriage notes. Not only that....All the OTHER notes for Child 1 - my primary Child in that family - are GONE !! E.g., there was a very long note about her occupation in that notes group. I'm really troubled by this glitch in PAF 5.0. Has anyone else had this happen to them? How can I ever trust PAF again? Is there a better genealogy program out there that will not DO this to a person's notes? Thanks...any whoever may be answering me. Notify Administrator about this message?
