Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

This, unfortunately, is one of the weaknesses of PAF. PAF Companion, which costs $13.50 from the LDS, prints all the children of each ancestral generation as part of the Ahnentafel. Still doesn't get all the collateral relatives, but it's an improvement. What you'd really like is an Ortsfamilienbuch for your family, and the only software that I know that does that is from Germany.

I'm written to the people that produce PAF Companion to suggest that they include the Ortsfamilienbuch style of report, but have no idea if it will happen. Send them an e-mail yourself to request it, maybe if enough of us do it, they'll add it to the options.

Dave
