Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Amy, you could try "Ourfamily.com". A distant relative of mine has used it and you can view his site at:
http://roderickcraig.ourfamily.com/
Roderick created his site with PAF.
You will find Ourfamily.com at:
http://www.ourfamily.com/
Click on "About Us" just to check out who operates the company and their policies.

It is a good idea to be wary of sites that may capitalise on the information you post on a website (sell it on CD's to consumers). There are a few to be wary of, but you can usually determine which ones to avoid by checking out their ownership - I will leave you to be the judge of those.

Lance
