Thanks for your help. I don't want to copy the setup files, only the family info that I have entered. My PC is at home and should not be part of any network, but it was a store demo. I'll have some one help me check out that. My pc is a HP and my CD writer is a HP also. My family file contains almost 7,000 people and will not copy on a floppy. I lost one file months ago with about 2,000 people and it was a pain to reenter all my info, I still don't have all the info. I would like to know how other people maintain a back up copy of their info. I am concerned since a friends PC crashed and she lost all of her files, word, excel, etc. My PAF file is very important and I would hate to loose a years work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jeannie
