downloading files to a cd

I have been using PAF for about a year. I really like the program. I also purchased Family Tree about 6 mths ago, and do not like it at all. Now I have a problem. I would like to copy my file to a CD for security reasons,(if my PC crashed). But when I try to export to my CD drive, a message comes up that I do not own the file and I should contact an administrator. I looked under help and can find nothing about ownership of files. Does any one have any idea how I can download files to a CD??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
