Peter,
Thank you very much for turning me on to Legacy. You are right. It is packed with features. Many are what I have been looking for; ie opening more than one file. The location list is great. I had been using Gedcom Explorer to make all the variations in one location read the same, and to prepare a GEDCOM for export into another program without or with few errors.
By the way Legacy imported my FTW file (I prepped one with Gedcom Ex and one without, the unprepped one did better) rather well and put the few errors into the notes! I did not lose that. It also retained all alternate names and facts for individuals, some with many.
What a great little program, and free! The new Deluxe Edition looks great, too.
