Single source with multiple evidences?
Posted by: Rhonda Sheehan Date: July 28, 2001 at 18:55:15

Hi! I am having much trouble with sources. I do not know how to use one source (such as a particular church)and then use many items of evidence from that source.

I keep running into a situation where I have many pieces of evidence that would fall into one category, such as Church Records: Nebraska. If I have several pieces of evidence from several churches in Nebraska, and try to enter a different church, all of the entries I entered previously will change to match my new church entry.

I have tried using source descriptions such as St. Paul's and St. Michael's and then entering information, but whichever I type in last will become the source for all the information entered prior.

Does anyone understand this?

I know I'm not good at explaining. If anyone is willing to take a stab at this, I'll be grateful.
