install 2 independent PAF 5.1 programs?

Is it possible to install 2 completely separate PAF 5.1 programs on the same computer?
I have reached a point in my 22 years of research where I want to focus on only one ancestral line and that line is all I have entered into this program. However, PAF 2.31 has been my program for years and I have over 12000 family members from all my other lines in it. PAF 2.31 has started dumping my notes (horror!) and prints reports with substituted characters so I've got to do something! 2.31 is on my old 486DX and 5.1 is
on my new system: Win 98 6.4gb 466MHz 64MB SyncDram. Do I need to increase my SyncDRAM?
Is it possible to have 2 PAF 5.1 programs installed, operating independently of each other, saved to 2 different folders, as well as 2 different sets of backup disks?
